Thanksgiving for God’s Word

July 5, 2026 |
| Tunde Kikiowo

This sermon focuses on the following key points:

🥈 The Purity and Validity of God’s Word
The words of the Lord are pure, like silver purified seven times in a furnace (Psalm 12:6). Your life is too precious to be built on anything less than what is real and true.

🌧️ God’s Word Never Returns Void
Just as rain and snow water the earth and cause it to bring forth fruit, so God’s word accomplishes what He pleases and prospers in the purpose for which it was sent (Isaiah 55:10-11). We are guaranteed a full outcome, not a limited warranty.

👂 Faith Comes by Hearing
God’s word is the primary way He communicates His will, and faith enters through hearing (Romans 10:17). That faith is released into action when we act on what we’ve heard (2 Corinthians 4:13). Mary modeled this by believing what was spoken to her, resulting in fulfillment (Luke 1:38,45).

📜 A Living Legacy
God’s word is a legacy left for us, able to build us up and give us an inheritance among the sanctified (Acts 20:32). The words Jesus speaks are spirit and life (John 6:63).

💊 Comfort and Health Through the Word
Even in affliction, God’s word gives life and comfort (Psalm 119:50). Those who find His words find life and health to all their flesh (Proverbs 4:20-22), and His commands bring favor and long life when bound to the heart (Proverbs 3:1-4).

🌱 The Creative and Sustaining Power of the Word
By His word all things were made, and He upholds all things by the word of His power (Hebrews 1:3, Genesis 1:3). When His words abide in us, we can ask what we desire and it will be done (John 15:7).

🙏 A Call to Gratitude and Transformation
God wants to deconstruct old belief systems and renew our minds (Romans 12:1-2), bringing us to the point of truly believing His word. This month is dedicated to feasting on God’s word so that our lives may prosper.

💡 Thank God today for the authenticity and legacy of His word. Let it dwell richly in you, deliver you from fear, and cause your life to prosper.
