🌟 Healing Is God’s Nature and Promise
God revealed Himself to Israel as the God who heals (Exodus 15:26). Jesus came to give abundant life (John 10:10), and Paul affirmed that God preserves us wholly—spirit, soul, and body (1 Thessalonians 5:23). Walking outside of healing is living less than what God intends for you.
đź’ˇ Following Jesus Means Expecting Healing
Reading through Matthew 8:1-17, the message shows healing as a lifestyle for those who follow Christ. The leper’s approach—”Lord, if you are willing, you can heal me”—teaches us that no situation surprises Jesus, but we must be ready to ask Him. Jesus responded, “I am willing… Be healed!”, showing His readiness to heal instantly and completely.
đź‘‘ Give God the Glory, Whatever Your Status
Jesus instructed the healed leper to offer the required testimony to the priest, reminding us that praise and giving God glory should be our lifestyle if we want to continue walking in blessing. The story of the Roman officer’s paralyzed servant shows that pain has no regard for status, wealth, or position—everyone can bring their need honestly to Jesus.
🔥 Healing Received by Faith and Authority
Like the man healed in Acts 14:9 who had faith to be healed, we are called to receive healing as it’s freely given—by faith. The centurion’s understanding of authority (“I only need to say, ‘Go'”) reminds us that Jesus has given us authority over sickness and the works of the enemy. James 5:15 confirms that the prayer of faith will save the sick.
🌍 Jesus Heals Everyone, Everywhere
At Peter’s house, Jesus healed his mother-in-law with a simple touch, and that evening He healed all who were brought to Him, fulfilling Isaiah’s prophecy that “He took our sicknesses and removed our diseases” (Matthew 8:17). What He did for one, He does for all—healing is our covenant right through Christ’s redemption (Galatians 3:13-14).
🙌 Declarations of Faith
The congregation was led in declarations: healed by His stripes, totally delivered, totally free, and that no sickness clings to the body because Jesus paid the price. Psalm 103:1-5 was read as a closing reminder that God forgives iniquity, heals disease, and renews strength.
