On this Easter Sunday topic: New Man in Christ, emphasizes our transformed identity and the authority bestowed upon believers through Jesus’ resurrection. This sermon focuses on the following key points:
✨ Transformed Identity: Through Christ, we are a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). As the angel proclaimed to Mary, “He is risen!” (Matthew 28:5-10), so too are we raised to new life.
🙌 Christ’s Resurrection Power: We are seated with Christ in heavenly places (Colossians 3:1), thinking on things above and living a life that pleases God. Our old self is gone, replaced with the righteousness of God (2 Corinthians 5:21).
🕊️ Infusion of the Spirit: As a new man, you are not merely renewed, but entirely new through the infusion of God’s Spirit. “It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me” (Galatians 2:20).
☮️ Peace & Reconciliation: Through Jesus, we have peace and reconciliation with God (Ephesians 2:15-16). The middle wall of partition is broken down, and we can live in harmony with God.
🏃 New Desires: We put off the old man with its deceitful lusts and are renewed in the spirit of our minds (Ephesians 4:22-24). Our desires shift from worldly pursuits to eternal values, such as prayer, evangelism, and financing God’s kingdom.
🔄 Becoming More Like Him: Being a new man means continuously being transformed into His image (2 Corinthians 3:18). Though situated on earth, we are progressing revelationally to become more and more like Jesus.
💪 Exercising Authority: Remember Palm Sunday! The power Jesus demonstrated is delegated to you. As stated in Luke 10:19, He gives authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Jesus lives in you, and “He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world” (1 John 4:4). Use that power!
💡Embrace your new identity, walk in your delegated authority, and let the power of the resurrection transform every area of your life. Command those dead things to live again in Jesus’ name! Amen 🙏
