Faith & Spritual Growth 3

August 16, 2026 |
| Tunde Kikiowo

The minister delivers a message on Building Systems and Structures for Spiritual Growth, reminding us that even in difficult environments, God has designed us to grow consistently and intentionally. This sermon focuses on the following key points:

🌵 Growing in Spite of a Difficult Environment
The children of Israel multiplied and grew mighty even under affliction in Egypt (Exodus 1:7-12), and Isaac grew exceedingly great despite opposition (Genesis 26:13). Continuous growth intimidates the enemy—the world will be in dread of you as you grow.

🎯 Establish Clear Goals
Where there is no vision, the people perish (Proverbs 29:18). Define specific areas for growth—prayer, Bible study, discernment, love walk, and service to others.

⏰ Create a Daily Routine
Daniel prayed three times a day without fail, no matter the decree against him (Daniel 6:10). Consistency in devotion, prayer, and Bible reading is key to building lasting spiritual habits.

📚 Utilize Study Resources
Study to present yourself approved unto God, rightly handling the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15). Invest in devotionals, study Bibles, and trusted resources to aid your growth.

🙌 Incorporate Prayer and Worship
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and give thanks in all circumstances (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18). An atmosphere of thanksgiving creates room for revelation, just as Elisha called for a minstrel to release the prophetic flow (2 Kings 3:15).

🤝 Engage in Community
Let us not give up meeting together, but spur one another on toward love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24-25). Growth is both a personal journey and a shared one within the body of Christ.

✍️ Practice Reflection and Journaling
Write the vision and make it plain (Habakkuk 2:2). Meditate on His precepts and fix your eyes on His ways (Psalm 119:15), keeping record of prayers and revelations.

🧭 Seek Guidance and Set Accountability
Plans are established by wise counsel (Proverbs 20:18, Proverbs 15:22), and two are better than one, for they help each other rise (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10).

🛌 Avoid Burnout and Evaluate Progress
Jesus called His disciples to rest in a quiet place (Mark 6:31). Regularly examine yourself to see whether you are walking in the faith (2 Corinthians 13:5).

💡 Spiritual growth requires deliberate systems—goals, routines, resources, community, and accountability. Build the structure, and watch your spiritual capacity expand no matter your environment
