Empowerment in Prayer

March 2, 2025 |
| Soji Mould

The minister shares a powerful message on the results of prayer, emphasizing its transformative power in our lives. This sermon focuses on the following key points:

🙏 What is Prayer?: Prayer is deliberate communication with God. “Your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.” – Matthew 6:8

🕊️ Elijah’s Example: Elijah, a man with human struggles, demonstrated the power of a close relationship with God (1 Kings 18:36-45). His prayers brought fire from heaven, defeated enemies, and ushered in abundance.

đź“– When Should We Pray?: We are called to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17) and in all situations, whether good or bad (James 5:13-17).

🎉 Key to Answered Prayers: Thanksgiving is essential. “I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving and will call upon the name of the Lord.” – Psalm 116:17

🌟 Results of Answered Prayers:

  1. The Glory of God is revealed: Elijah’s prayer demonstrated God’s power to all (1 Kings 18:38-39 )
  2. Enemies are defeated: Oppressors and limiting factors are removed (Exodus 14:13).
  3. Situations are transformed: Supernatural shifts bring restoration and joy (Psalm 126:1-3).
  4. Dryness turns to abundance: God’s favour brings rain and blessings.
  5. Life is restored and sustained: Prayer renews life and sustains it through God’s provision.

đź’ˇ A close relationship with God is the game changer. Without it, prayers remain ineffective. Jesus invites us into this relationship today because “the prayer of the upright is His delight” – Proverbs 15:8.
